Under the cooperation of the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Hall and Mizuki Productions, a demonstration experiment was conducted at the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Hall (Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture), an exhibition guide content “Yokai Glasses: A Guide to Another World (Guide)” using mixed reality (mixed reality, hereinafter MR) headsets.

・Spatial audio guide: An audio guide that automatically plays when you approach the exhibition

・Extended Information Popup: Display spatial information about monsters in Yo-kai Cave

・Different space sharing experience (shooting): Commemorative photo of spatial content at Yo-kai Square

The MR headset uses Microsoft HoloLens 2 to recognize real space and position and display 2D/3D objects in space. Also, in applications running within HoloLens 2, Immersal SDK, which is Immersal's VPS (Visual Positioning System), was used as self-position estimation technology.

With this technology, it is possible to recognize locations and exhibits in the museum with high accuracy.

The purpose of this demonstration experiment is to verify its usefulness and return on investment by creating content and developing an MR system as a next-generation guide system that can be used in indoor exhibition spaces such as memorials and museums, and for visitors to experience it.
