PFIZER JAPAN INC. EXHIBITED A "VIRTUAL FACTORY TOUR" THAT ALLOWED VISITORS TO EXPERIENCE PFIZER'S NAGOYA PLANT ("NAGOYA PLANT") IN VR AT THE JAPAN PHARMACEUTICAL ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONVENTION HELD FROM NOVEMBER 22 (SUN.) TO 23 (MON.), 2015. (PRODUCTION COOPERATION: NOMURA CO.)

This year's 48th annual convention attracted a large number of pharmacists from all over Japan. Pfizer set up a "virtual factory tour" corner in its booth in the exhibition hall to provide visitors with an easy-to-understand, virtual experience of the drug formulation innovations and quality control initiatives at the Nagoya Plant.

The installation included a series of 360-degree, all-round shots of the entire process, from weighing raw materials to packaging products, condensed into a 3-minute video. The event provided more than 600 pharmacists with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of various initiatives at production sites through virtual experiences using a head-mounted display (GearVR).
