We developed a simple surveillance system using a Linux board computer called Raspberry Pi and an ultra-wide angle lens + camera.
Using a modification kit to attach a 220° lens (super wide angle) to the Raspberry Pi (a.k.a. Raspberry Pi), an ultra-compact single-board computer, and a camera, the RaspberryPi VR 220 Camera MOD KIT by Intanya, we have developed a system to periodically The system uploads the captured still images to Entapano VR, a cloud service.
The Raspi is a small and inexpensive computer, and by attaching a 220-degree wide-angle camera to it and sending the photos taken to a remote location via the Internet, it can be used as a simple surveillance camera system. This time, we developed a prototype system that takes and sends a photo once every 5 minutes with the following device configuration.
Raspberry Pi RASPBERRY PI 3 Model B
・Entaniya RaspberryPi VR 220 Camera MOD KIT
・Entaniya RaspberryPi camera case (prototype)
・Entapano VR (cloud service)
When we think of a surveillance camera, we think of a hardware camera and its image receiver. However, the combination of Raspi and cloud service can be easily introduced.
This system will be on display for reference in the Intanya booth (Convention Center Booth #: Central Hall "C12349"]) at the NAB Show 2018, the National Association of Broadcasters exhibition in Las Vegas, USA.
It has been defined in various ways, but in a nutshell, it can be described as "a deeper fusion of the digital world and the real world.
